From Hardship to Hope

Founder and CEO Terrence T. Shey experienced hardship from an early age after losing his father and growing up in poverty in Cameroon. Like many of the widows, orphans, and vulnerable families FIGCM serves today, he understood the uncertainty of not knowing where the next opportunity, meal, or source of hope would come from.

In 2009, Terrence gave his life to Jesus Christ, a decision that transformed not only his future but also his purpose. Rather than allowing his past to define him, he embraced God’s calling to become a source of hope for others. The challenges he had endured became the foundation of a mission dedicated to restoring dignity, empowering communities, and sharing the love of Christ.

Every person, especially the most vulnerable, deserves to feel loved, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Driven by this conviction, Faith in God Charity Missions was founded in 2014 and officially registered as a nonprofit organization in 2022. Since then, the organization has grown into a trusted Christ-centered ministry serving thousands of widows, orphans, vulnerable children, and underserved communities through sustainable programs that create lasting impact.

Today, FIGCM’s work is guided by four strategic pillars: Food Security & Health, Livelihood Enrichment, Educational Assistance, and Evangelism. Through these pillars, the organization provides holistic support that meets physical needs, creates opportunities for self-reliance, and nurtures spiritual growth.

From providing nutritious meals and healthcare support to empowering widows through livelihood programs, equipping children with access to education, and sharing the hope of the Gospel, every life transformed reflects the same mission that inspired FIGCM from the very beginning: to demonstrate the love of Christ by empowering people to build lives of dignity, purpose, and hope.
