Faith in God Charity Missions is a faith-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering widows, orphans, and underserved communities across Cameroon and beyond. Founded in 2014, our work combines immediate relief with long-term empowerment through four core pillars: health and nutrition, livelihood enrichment, educational assistance, and evangelism.
From monthly food distributions through to vocational training and educational sponsorships, we equip vulnerable individuals with the tools and support they need to build sustainable futures.

Job Summary
The Web Designer will help create and maintain an engaging, accessible, and mission-driven online presence for Faith in God Charity Missions. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, this volunteer will design, update, and optimize the organization’s website to effectively communicate its programs, impact, and opportunities for giving, volunteering, and community engagement.
The ideal candidate is passionate about creating user-friendly digital experiences that reflect the organization’s faith-based mission while ensuring the website remains visually appealing, functional, secure, and easy to navigate.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and improve the Faith in God Charity Missions website to ensure a professional, engaging, and user-friendly experience.
- Create webpage layouts and landing pages that align with the organization’s branding and communications strategy.
- Update website content, including program information, impact stories, blog articles, event announcements, volunteer opportunities, and donation pages.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager, Graphic Designer, and content creators to ensure the website accurately reflects the organization’s mission and current initiatives.
- Ensure the website is responsive, mobile-friendly, accessible, and optimized for performance across devices.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and support digital outreach efforts.
- Monitor website analytics and user behavior, providing recommendations to improve engagement and user experience.
- Maintain website security, perform routine updates, and coordinate backups to ensure reliability and data protection.
- Troubleshoot website issues and coordinate with hosting providers or technical support when necessary.
- Ensure all website content is accurate, current, and consistent with Faith in God Charity Missions’ branding, messaging, and Christian values.
- Stay informed of emerging web design trends, accessibility standards, and digital best practices that can strengthen the organization’s online presence.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Experience designing and maintaining websites using platforms such as WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or similar content management systems.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Understanding of responsive web design and user experience (UX) principles.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Experience using design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar software.
- Ability to analyze website analytics and recommend improvements based on user behavior.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a remote volunteer team.
- Demonstrates a genuine commitment to Faith in God Charity Missions’ mission, Christian values, and compassionate approach to serving vulnerable communities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of practical experience.
- Previous experience designing, developing, or maintaining websites in a professional, freelance, volunteer, or academic setting.
- Experience supporting nonprofit organizations, charities, churches, or faith-based ministries is an advantage.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
- Occasional participation in organizational events or activities, when applicable.
